Event History
The Native Arts Expo started in 2015 and, after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event returned in 2022. October 2024 will mark the 8th annual gathering.
The Gualala Arts Center was the first to host the event through their Global Harmony Series. As the event grew in size, an opportunity came about to host it at the Mendocino Art Center in 2023 and will take place there again for the 8th annual gathering October 25-26, 2024.
The event was designed as a way to facilitate cultural discussions and view indigenous perspectives through art. It is free to attend and open to the public. This event is a gathering of indigenous artists from North and South America.
It is open to artists at all levels and artistic mediums.
